GOT TICKETS?
With REPEAL DAY 2008 not much more than a week away, things are coming together for the Shenango Valley event. The River Watchers have posted their last tickets on eBay:
Many people are wishing they had grabbed them up sooner as the tickets are pretty much gone. Please note, due to the capacity of the Corinthian, there will be NO SALES AT THE DOOR.
If you have tickets, it'll be a great time. There is still time get your fedoras and flapper dresses!

B.O.A.R.D. Member interview with Joe Biden
There goes John, once again shaping the future of America with vice-president hopeful Joe Biden. In their interview, poor Joe couldn't get a word in as John went on and on about the great things shaping up for this year's Repeal Day event!

We are getting ready.
We are planning a few new fun things for this year's event but here is the early facts about the event December 5th.
The "BOARD" of the Shenango Valley is happy to announce...their 2008
Charity Repeal Day Celebration with all proceeds benefiting the
Shenango River Watchers.
WHAT:
2nd Annual Charity Repeal Day Celebration and Beer Tasting.
WHEN:
Friday, December 5th The Beer taste will from 6 to 9pm with a cash
bar open later.
WHERE:
The Corinthian, Downtown Sharon, PA
WHY:
The event will raise money for the Shenango Valley River Watchers
while promoting an appreciation for fine craft beers made available
through local beer distributors and microbreweries.
WHO:
The BOARD (The Brotherhood Of Appreciating Repeal Day)
The history behind the BOARD...
The B.O.A.R.D. is a loosely affiliated fraternal organization founded
by a small group of friends who enjoyed good beer and good times with
higher a goal to make Repeal Day an annual celebration with a noble

Repeal Day marks the repeal of the 18th amendment to our constitution,
representing the end of a 13 yearlong ban on the manufacture, sale,
and transport of alcoholic beverages in the United States. With the
help of several local distributors and microbreweries, we have put
together Western PA's second annual Repeal Day celebration since 1933.
Participants will enjoy samples of a wide array of craft brews poured
by experts that pride themselves on the craft. Live music from two
different bands, a light dinner, and a silent auction of beer
paraphernalia will provide diversions for all.

to clean up, preserve and protect the environmental, scenic and
recreational attributes of the Shenango River. For more information

Dec. 5th 2008
Ok, the time and date are set for this year's Repeal Day Beer Taste. It's, of course, Dec 5th, 2008 at the Corinthian in downtown Sharon. Nick, Tom, and John Mik met with their great staff last night. The time for this year's event is from 6pm to 11pm with the beer taste lasting until 9pm and a cash bar open until 11pm. Some wanted longer and some wanted it shorter but in the end we came to an agreement that seemed to make sense and everyone seemed happy with the times. It will be another great event this year. Tickets will go on sale soon and there are a limited number this year so see a BOARD member to get your ticket you do not want to miss this event. The price is $25.
